48 star flag

A couple years ago I was in New Orleans for Spring Break with my family and stumbled on the National WWII Museum. Berto and I served 6 years as infantrymen in the Army National Guard. By luck or fate, we served between the two Gulf Wars and never saw combat. I saw a quote by an anonymous WWII infantryman at the museum. It read “The quickest way to become a pacifist is to join the infantry”, but , there is evil in the world and brave men and women answer the call to fight that evil. I was so moved by the Museum, that before I left, I found a WWII era flag to display at The Golden Hoosier, a proudly American business!
