This large Hare native to Europe and parts of Asia can reach 30” in length and weigh up to 11lbs. Unlike rabbits which are born blind and hairless, hares can fend for themselves shortly after birth. Fun fact: hares are excellent swimmers. This hare from 1924 is one of three examples we have from world-renowned taxidermists Peter Spicer & Sons.
