The feral hogs that roam much of the US are the descendants of domesticated pigs, but there are still vast populations of wild boars across Europe that have existed there, unchanged, for as long as man has inhabited the continent. In general, wild boars are not only physically larger and stronger than the feral pigs but they are also more adept at survival and have a greater awareness of their surroundings. Our 1950’s vintage wild boar is from the Netherlands.
